Seeing as Assassins and Rits didn't get any armor in Prophecies, I don't see why Dervishes or Paragons should get armor in Factions...

The newer the class the less stuff they will have, plain and simple.
That will always remain the case unless anet makes a chapter with no new classes, and gives each class content based on how much they already have so that all classes have the same amoutn of skills and armor types. But I wouldnt count on that happening

I dont know if I was clear enough.
Obsidian = Core
Luxxon = Factions
Kurzick = Factions
Kurzick Dervish/Paragon = Nightfall
Luxxon Dervish/Paragon = Nightfall
The Luxxon and Kurzick Dervish/Paragon armour would not be an expansion to factions. It will only be available to players with both Factions and Nightfall.

They might use the name "Kurzick" in new Dervish or Paragon armor.
Like they did with having Ascalon/tyrian/Krytan armor in Factions.
But I doubt it would have canthan style. It would be purely to try and combine the storylines and make the 3 continents intergrated.
Plus it would be a way to try and incourage Nightfall only players to purchase the other games to see these places.
Then they would do what they did between factions and tyria and make a post on the website, or make up a storyline about how factions armor took some influence from Tyrian armor, or vise-versa.
But then you have the issue of do they have armor named after all the continents or just factions?
If they include canthan named armor, then why not include tyrian named armor!
It would all start getting a bit complicated as the number of continents increased.
If it does happen, they might have canthan Elonian armor or Tyrian Elonian armor.
But I dont see it getting any more complex then that.
But any armor in Elonia will have Elonia style to it, despite what ever its name is.

I agree now, Canthan armours I doubt will be made for D/P, but I think there is a good chance for Kurzick and Luxxon ones.

It's gonna be like this:
6 core professions will get new armour in every expansion, since you can make a character of those professions in each chapter.
2 new professions are chapter-bound, which means you can only create them in their own chapter, and there will only be armor available to them in that same chapter, except for Obsidian, which is accessible to every profession from some portal to the Fissure of Woe.
So there will not be any new Assassin or Ritualist armours in Nightfall (nor Prophecies), and there wont be any Dervish or Paragon armors in Factions (nor Prophecies).
If that were the case, Anet would have to make new armor for a growing number of professions with the coming of each new chapter.
A Paragon or Dervish will not be able to buy Canthan armor, including Kurzick / Luxon / Shing Jea etc.
Cantha had "exotic" and "imperial" armor exclusively for Sins and Rits, which substituted the Tyrian / Krytan armors for the 6 core professions. Nightfall will probably have 2 of those types as well, that are exclusive for Para's and Derv's.
What armor can an assassin or ritualist buy in Tyria, except for Obsidian? None right? I haven't really checked yet, but if there is Prophecies armor for Rits/Sins, then it's probably very basic (1.5k), and only 1 or 2 types that are allready available in Factions, so nothing new. Maybe someone can check that for me. I expect the same from Nightfall.

Yes, Doinchi, but most of us are doubting they will do it backwards. If they offer Kurzick/Luxon armour in the Elon capital, then it will, no doubt, be available to all characters, regardless of the campaigns they own. Just like Tyrian, Krytan, and Ascalon were available to all characters.

It's been confirmed that there's at least one new set of armor for sins and rits in Nightfall, and skills too. My guess is that they'll only do that for Nightfall, and then for Chapter Four there'll be no sin and rit armor but there'll be armor and skills for the dervish and paragon. In chapter 5 there'll be no D and P armor but there'll be extra armor and skills for whatever's coming out in chapter four and so on. Otherwise it would be too hard to keep coming out with armor and skills for the new professions that they'll soon start having to duplicate duplicates and have to break out of there 6 month releases just to get all the armor done.
But then again, Anet is making a profit for this, thus they might hire more people with that money, and then they can get more content and thus more people buy it because of the content, they get richer and hire more people etc. It'll all just go round and round until we end up buying like, 50 games worth of content every time it comes out!!! But then again, they probably won't hire more people because they want the profit :P

I think that it's an excellent idea to have Dervish and Paragon Luxon Armors. Anet and NCsoft want to sell their games to individuals who own any or none of their chapters, this would be a great way to get people who didn't have Factions to purchase it. I don't see why people are all up in arms screaming "IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!" when no one knows for sure. I will say that if they haven't already got some of the art it's not likely we'll see them at release.
However, they didn't have 15k Gladiator armor when Prophecies released, and eventually they modeled the armor skins for every type of 15k. Personally, I think Anet would be wise to do this as it would keep the prices of amber and jade from going lower than they are now. A LOT of people will be running Paragons in AB for Can't Touch This amongst other reasons, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to show the difference between a dedicated Luxon or Kur fanatic and a PVP only character in armor styles.

In the end only the core 6 professions will have new skins, unless they decided to recycle the old ones. So if you want a variety play one of the core 6 professions

I agree. Although i think it's unlikely, there is always a possibility until there's confirmation.

SO, I go to any Factions armor crafter with a Dervish or Paragon, and NPC say: Sorry, go to hell? :P
I actually never seen what happen if I talk with a Assassin or Ritualist to a Prophecies armor crafter, I dont have PvE Assassin nor Ritualist for test that.

Meh, it seems to me that the only people who can say that it is a "fact" one way or another are people who have just violated their NDA's in doing so.
Or people who work for ANet and are speaking in an official capacity for them.
It'd be neat if they made paragon and dervish some Kurzick or Luxon armors or some Canthan. I doubt that we'll know for "fact" until someone marches up into Cantha with a paragon or dervish and talks to the [armor] NPC, eh?

It would be good if they did get armor from other campaigns. Then again it might be that assassins and rit get new armor this one. Then Dervish and Paragon get new armor next chapter and asassin and rit are left in the cold.
@Ghull Ka: That or unless Gaile pops by. Or is she already here. *Pulls out whale harpoon* Come her gaile.

I'm glad that ANet decided to give non-core professions skills in future campaigns, but I wouldn't have expected the same number as a core profession. Half the number, for example, would have been enough to make me happy. Similar for armor.
I do not expect ANet to add armor/skills/weapons/etc. for non-core professions backwards into past campaigns. Too much work that I'd rather see them spend on future content!

Where you read that? That is indeed really sad, I can't believe it. I bought Factions for the new core skills.
About my past post: What happend when an assassin or ritualist talk to a Tyrian armor crafter NPC? I have Prophecies+Factions a long time ago, but no PvE assassin or ritualist.
EDIT: Oh! I misunderstood the quoted sentence >.<

I took my Ritualist to Lion's Arch to test this for you NeHoMaR.
There were no items to choose in the crafting window.
They don't mean that there will be no new core profession skills in future campaigns. People thought there wouldn't be any support for 'sins and Rits in Nightfall, there is.

I dont think Derv and Par will get armors in Prophecies or Factions as those chapters came before those Professions were available. Rit and Sin got FOW armor because they have access to UW and FOW. I think if Anet follows that trend then the Derv and Par will get FOW armor ane there will be an Access point to UW and FOW in the Nightfall regions somewhere. I personally dont care if they do or dont implement Derv and Par armors in Cantha but I dont think they will.
